Newer, Younger Artists Examine Wanderlust and Imagine Distant Travels

LA art darlings, Poketo, present “Postcards from Poketo” at Receiver Gallery in San Francisco

Working within the themes of wanderlust, and the fantasy journeys elicited when receiving greetings from a distant land, the artists of Poketo's latest artshow exhibit their work at Receiver Gallery in San Francisco, December 10, 2005.

Exhibiting Artists Include:

Isaac Lin, Chris Duncan, Alika Cooper, Deth P Sun, SP One, Susie Ghahremani, Chris Pew, PCP, Little Friends of Printmaking, Nathalie Roland, Keith Andrew Shore, Suzanne Husky, Jeana Sohn, Eun-Ha Paek, Caitlin Keegan, Jillian Tamaki, Mark Mulroney, Ryan Wallace, and Tom Vadakan.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, December 10th, between 6 - 10 pm.

A special musical performance by Estereo will be enjoyed throughout the evening. Artists and Poketo representatives will be in attendance, and refreshments will be served. Unreleased Poketo wallets and tshirts will also be available for purchase in the gallery and online.

Poketo is an art and apparel company founded in 2003. Poketo works with established and emerging artists in creating exclusive Poketo wallets and t-shirts. Poketo has collaborated with Giant Robot Magazine, The Drama Magazine, Beautiful/Decay Magazine, The Postal Service, and Weezer to create exclusive wallet designs. Poketo can be found in galleries, museums, and specialty stores around the world. Poketo has worked with a long and growing list of artists in the street, commercial, and fine arts world.
